Terms of serviceBasic rules for using Svee.
Last updated: May 18, 2026. These terms describe how users may access Svee, what users are responsible for, and the limits of the service across iOS, web, and the public site.
Agreement to these terms
These Terms of Service explain the rules for using Svee, including the iOS app, web app, and public website. Svee is operated by Benjamin Barley. By creating an account, signing in, or using the service, you agree to these terms.
- For support, contact support@sveeapp.com.
- For privacy requests, contact privacy@sveeapp.com.
- If you do not agree to these terms, do not use Svee.
Eligibility and accounts
You must be old enough to use Svee under the laws that apply to you and able to enter into a binding agreement. You are responsible for your account and the devices you use to access it.
- Keep your sign-in credentials private and use reasonable device security
- Provide accurate account information and keep it current
- You are responsible for activity that happens through your account unless caused by Svee's own failure to use reasonable safeguards
- If you believe your account is compromised, reset your password, sign out of other devices, or contact support at support@sveeapp.com
Apple, mobile, and platform terms
When Svee is downloaded or used through Apple, the App Store, or another platform, that platform's terms may also apply.
- Apple is not responsible for providing support, maintenance, warranties, or claims for Svee beyond what applicable law requires
- If Sign in with Apple is used, Apple may process authentication information according to Apple's own terms and privacy practices
- Svee does not currently offer paid subscriptions or in-app purchases; if paid App Store features are added, Apple payment and cancellation rules will apply where required
Your content
You keep ownership of the notes, tasks, goals, spend entries, folders, categories, attachments, and other content you create in Svee.
- You grant Svee the limited permission needed to host, store, process, sync, back up, display, and share your content as required to operate the service
- You are responsible for making sure you have the right to upload, store, or share the content you add
- You should keep separate backups of important content where appropriate
- Deleting content or deleting your account may permanently remove access to that content, subject to backup and legal retention limits
Shared notes and collaborators
Svee may allow you to share notes or workspaces with other people. Shared content can be viewed or edited by collaborators according to the permissions you grant.
- Only invite people you trust to shared notes or folders
- You are responsible for managing collaborator access and removing access when it is no longer appropriate
- Collaborators may copy, edit, export, or otherwise use shared content outside of Svee, so do not share sensitive information unless you are comfortable with that risk
- Svee may limit or remove shared access to protect the service, comply with law, or address abuse
Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse Svee or use it in a way that harms the service, other users, or the public.
- Do not use Svee for unlawful, abusive, harassing, fraudulent, infringing, or harmful activity
- Do not upload malware, attempt unauthorized access, scrape the service, overload infrastructure, or interfere with security features
- Do not use Svee to store or share content you do not have the right to use
- Do not attempt to reverse-engineer the service except where applicable law clearly allows it
Privacy and security features
Svee includes convenience and privacy features, but those features should not be treated as a guarantee of absolute security.
- Lock-on-this-device can hide selected notes behind account re-authentication or device biometrics on that device
- Lock-on-this-device does not mean note contents are end-to-end encrypted on Svee servers
- You should not store extremely sensitive information unless you understand the current security model and are comfortable with it
Spend, goals, and productivity tools
Svee provides organizational tools for personal notes, tasks, goals, and spending awareness. The app does not provide professional advice.
- Spend mode is not financial, tax, accounting, investment, or budgeting advice
- Goals mode is not medical, mental health, coaching, legal, or professional advice
- Task deadlines, reminders, totals, and progress indicators may be wrong, delayed, or incomplete, so verify important information yourself
Availability and changes
Svee may change over time. We may update, improve, limit, suspend, or discontinue parts of the product as the service evolves.
- We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or permanently available service
- Features may change, including modes, sharing, sync, reminders, settings, and storage behavior
- We may suspend or limit access to protect the service, comply with law, prevent abuse, or address security issues
Account deletion and termination
You may delete your account through the app where available. We may also suspend or terminate access if needed to enforce these terms or protect the service.
- Account deletion is intended to remove your account and associated content from active systems, subject to backup and legal retention limits
- Deleting your account may permanently remove access to notes, tasks, goals, spend data, folders, and shared content tied to the account
- We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, create security risk, or expose Svee or users to legal risk
Disclaimers
Svee is provided on an as-is and as-available basis to the extent allowed by law.
- We do not promise that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or that data will never be lost
- We do not make warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or accuracy except where required by law
- Some jurisdictions do not allow certain disclaimers, so parts of this section may not apply to some users
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent allowed by law, Svee and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost data, lost profits, or business interruption.
- Svee's total liability for claims relating to the service will be limited to the amount you paid to use Svee in the 12 months before the claim, or 100 USD if you did not pay to use Svee
- Nothing in these terms limits liability where the law does not allow that limitation
Indemnity
To the extent allowed by law, you agree to defend and indemnify Svee from claims arising from your misuse of the service, your content, your violation of these terms, or your violation of someone else's rights.
- This obligation applies only to the extent allowed by applicable law
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws applicable in the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, unless consumer protection laws in your location require otherwise.
- Contact support@sveeapp.com first so we can try to resolve concerns informally
- Any dispute process will be handled in the courts or forums available under applicable law
- Consumer protection laws in some regions may give users rights that cannot be waived by these terms
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms of Service as Svee changes. When changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to notify users through the app, website, email, or another appropriate method.
- The Last updated date should reflect the latest published version
- Continued use of Svee after updated terms become effective means you accept the updated terms, where permitted by law
